Blood Tests

Practice appointments for routine blood tests MUST have been requested by the GP Practice

To align our process with that of other Practices in the city and allow us to offer more clinical appointment time our Admin team are able to offer you;

• the next available appointment with our Phlebotomist
• referral to the Phlebotomy Service at The Amex, Falmer who will contact you to book a suitable appointment
• referral to other Phlebotomy Services
• referral to Community Nursing team if you are housebound. They will contact you to arrange their visit

Hove Poly Clinic  – GP Blood Tests only

This service is for age 16 years and over

Currently an appointment system and only accepting GP Referrals.

Call on 01273 265580 between 8.00am to 4.00pm to book an appointment.

You can also book an appointment online by sending an email to [email protected]. Please include your name, date of birth, and available hours for the next few weeks.

You will need to take your blood test request form with you

To cancel your appointment please make sure to do so either by phone, or by email, giving your name and the time and date of your appointment.

Moulescoomb Health Centre

This service is for age 16 years and over.

This is an appointment only service and patients cannot be seen without booking in advance. This service is available for GP referrals only

Tuesday 8.30am – 3.30pm

Hospital Blood Tests 

If you have been asked to have a blood test by one of our hospitals’ services (for example at an outpatient clinic) you can book an appointment with the hospital phlebotomy clinic

You will need to take the blood test request form filled in by your Consultant or Dentist (or a Nurse acting for a named Consultant or Dentist).

Blood tests for children under 16

This service is available for GP referrals

Children’s blood appointments are on Level 5 Outpatients in the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital

Please remember to bring your paper blood test form from the health care professional that has requested it. The staff in outpatients will not be available to print off another copy
