NHS Campaign – MMR Vaccines for children aged 1-5 years

The NHS has launched a new campaign this week urging parents to ensure their children have had their measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccines as well as other routine jabs before starting school.

All children are invited for their first MMR vaccine on the NHS aged one, with the second dose given when they are three years and four months.

We would encourage parents and carers of eligible children aged 1-5 years that have not had their MMR vaccination to come forward.

If you are unsure if your child is up to date with all their routine vaccinations, you can check your child’s Red Book (personal child health record) in the first instance.
