How are vaccinations being delivered?

27-01-2021 – We are aware that some of our patients are starting to receive letters from the national vaccination booking system. The letters are labelled only from the NHS and invites you to book your vaccination appointment at one of the larger vaccination sites such as the Brighton Centre.

Please do not worry, our GP led service at the Racecourse is not affected.

These letters are offering the opportunity to book an appointment at one of the larger vaccination centres, such as the Brighton Centre or a local pharmacy through the national booking system. You cannot book an appointment at a GP led vaccination service (Brighton Racecourse) through this system.

Our vaccination service at Brighton Racecourse is working alongside these other services and you have a choice as to where you receive your vaccination – at our service, at a larger vaccination centre like the Brighton Centre or at a local pharmacy service. If you choose to leave the letter from the national booking system you will continue to be contacted by your GP led vaccination service (Brighton Racecourse).

Currently letters for the large vaccination sites are being sent to anyone in the eligible priority groups who live in a 60 mile radius from a vaccination centre or a local pharmacy service. It is important to say that this is not just in Sussex and if you live in proximity to a vaccination centre or pharmacy in Hampshire, Kent or Surrey, you are able to book for these and have your vaccination there.

Please see the short video below which sets out these options.
