Flu and Covid 19 vaccine news – Autumn 2023
Since the pandemic began, GP practices and primary care networks (PCNs) in Brighton & Hove (B&H) and the Havens in East Sussex have worked with ‘HERE’, a local not-for-profit organisation, to provide Covid-19 Vaccinations to our patients.
Our “Racecourse Collaboration” has provided over 250,000 vaccinations at the Brighton Racecourse, via pop up and mobile clinics, in care-homes and people’s homes.
We are very proud of our achievement in supporting the health of our population in the pandemic, the serious illnesses avoided and lives saved.
We are pleased to announce that HERE will again be providing the Autumn 2023 Covid vaccination programme for our eligible patients. HERE will be contacting patients directly to book vaccinations appointments.

We are starting our Adult Flu clinics in October this year as NHSE has recently asked us to slightly delay the vaccination programme as they have determined the vaccine is likely to be more effective in the winter months by doing so.
Where we have a mobile number for patients, we have contacted all eligible patients by text to directly book into one of our clinics. Our team will be phoning those patients who have a land line only and who are housebound.
