Air Pollution & Health – How does air pollution damage my health?

The 16th of June is Clean Air Day. Air pollution dirties every organ in the body. Here are 5 tips to reduce your exposure to air pollution.

  1. Discover the side streets – Use quieter roads and paths to keep away from heavy polluting traffic
  2. Leave the car behind – Encourage your whole family to walk, cycle and scoot more
  3. Check the forecast – Find out what the air pollution levels will be near you tomorrow -> https://airalert.info/Sussex/
  4. Turn the engine off – When you do need to use a car, ask the driver to turn the engine off when the car isn’t moving.
  5. Keep the air clean inside too – Use low chemical and non-smelly products, and keep your indoor air clean by using extractor fans.
